Jason Voorhees is the main character from the Friday The 13th series. His first appearance (1980) is as the young son of a camp cook-turned-killer Mrs. Voorhees. In the film, Jason is portrayed in the memories of his mother. She seeks revenge for her son's drowning which she blames on the camp counselors.
It is within the second part that Jason is revealed to be alive as an adult and gets revenge for his mother's killing. He returns to Crystal Lake and lives there as a hermit and guards it against intruders.
